At 2:49 p.m. on April 15, 2013, two bombs exploded near the finish line of the Boston marathon killing three people, injuring 282 others and horrifying an entire nation.  The Boston Marathon is an annual marathon hosted by several cities in Greater Boston in eastern Massachusetts. Poll finds strong support for shutdown of Boston

Survey suggests public receptive to stronger measures A NEW POLL INDICATES Massachusetts residents overwhelmingly support state leaders and law enforcement officials who locked down parts of Greater Boston during the manhunt for a Marathon bomber.
