Peabody Native Duff Among Field for Governor’s Council Race

Mary-Ellen Manning’s bid for the state Senate has opened up her seat on the Governor’s Council this fall and thus far seven candidates have emerged. Peabody native Eileen Duff (now a Gloucester resident), Salem residents David Eppley and George O’Brine and Donald Bumiller of Boxford are the Democrats to enter the race for the Fifth District, which spans across 38 communities North of Boston. Greater Boston Food Bank in billboard deal

Hub-based billboard company RSA Media has donated $2 million worth of outdoor billboard space to The Greater Boston Food Bank as part of a collaborative effort to fight hunger in Greater Boston. The billboard locations include Interstate 93 in Braintree, one mile from Gillette Stadium, on the Southeast Expressway in Dorchester and in the North End on the Rose Kennedy Greenway.
