Malden Featured in Well-Known Parking App

The iPhone and Android mobile app BestParking now features Malden as a neighborhood in the Greater Boston area, the mayor’s office said this week.

The app, available in each phone’s respective app stores, can also be found at the company’s website.

The program provides not only information about off-street parking, but which locations have the cheapest rates, laid out on a convenient GPS map.

Boston Marathon to generate $137.5 million

On your mark, get set, spend. The Boston Marathon is expected to generate $137.5 million in spending around the city over the course of the weekend, according to the Greater Boston Convention Visitors Bureau. More than 500,000 spectators are expected to turn out on Monday to watch 26,700 runners make their way 26.2 miles from Hopkinton to Copley Square. Malden High girls’ lacrosse looks to improve under new coach

Westwood Man to Run for Suicide Prevention in Boston Marathon

As the 116th annual Boston Marathon nears on Monday, April 16, more than a dozen Westwood residents have already registered for the race.  One of those residents is Westwood's own Marc Bellanger, who is taking his first stab at the marathon this year.  "It's been great," said Bellanger, who has been a Westwood resident for about three and a half years. Finagle a Bagel four-packs are rolling out to many Walmarts

The wholesale arm of Finagle a Bagel said it is rolling out four-packs of fresh bagels that will be sold from the dairy cases of 500 Walmart stores. Finagle described the roll-out as a test, and said that the agreement with Walmart greatly expands the geography of where its bagels are available.
