As the Boston Marathon bombings investigation continues, more information from authorities has emerged that clarifies some earlier reports from officials or provides more details on the suspected bombers, brothers Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev, and their backgrounds:___MIT OFFICER: Officer Sean Collier was shot inside in his patrol car late Thursday, April 18. Authorities initially said he was responding to a disturbance. Ambassador Alan Solomont had just checked into to his hotel room in Valencia, Spain, on April 15 when his daughter called from Boston to say she was OK. A life-long Bostonian who's now the U.S. ambassador to Spain, Solomont began tracking the events in his hometown. As he dedicated a new "American Space" at the Valencia Polytechnic University the next day, Solomont experienced an outpouring of solidarity from Spaniards toward Americans that he says was all the more intense because of Spain's recent experience with terror. What Boston Strong Means and Where it Goes From Here

I’ve been thinking a lot about the catch phrase “Boston Strong” as we approach the second week following the Boston Marathon Bombings. Being a surrogate Bostonian, I understood its nuance, but besides seeing it on buses and next to a hashtag on Twitter, I didn’t quite know how to interpret it.
