Co-chairmen named for Hospice Auction and Regatta

Meryl Thompson of Marblehead and Louise Sharp of Swampscott have been named co-chairmen of a committee of more than 25 North Shore residents planning the 19th annual Hospice of the North Shore Greater Boston Auction and Regatta. AAMCO doubling presence in Boston area

AAMCO Transmissions and Total Auto Care, the Pennsylvania-based company that grew from a small time auto repair shop to the largest transmission franchise in the world, is doubling its presence in Greater Boston. The company said it will soon have 20 locations in the area, adding an estimated 35 to 50 jobs.
