Kings Boston Invites Bowlers to Get Turkey for Turkey This Thanksgiving (Video) Throughout the month of November, Kings Boston runs a special promotion. If you bowl three strikes in a row, they donate a turkey to the Greater Boston Food Bank. As NESN.com’s Jen Stafford reports, the bowling and entertainment center is already up to about 40 on the year, and hope to add a few more through Thanksgiving. Pine Street Inn Serves Thanksgiving To Boston’s Needy

BOSTON — Many shelters and soup kitchens in the Greater Boston area will be busy places Thursday as they serve up some comfort for those in need with a traditional Thanksgiving meal.

Few places will be busier than the Pine Street Inn in Boston, where volunteers began arriving at 3:00 a.m. to start preparing the more than 1,500 meals the shelter plans to serve today.

Pine Street Inn Spokeswoman Barbara Trevison spoke with Bob Oakes on WBUR’s Morning Edition.

Greater Boston Food Bank Brings Food To Veterans

BOSTON (CBS) – It’s a chance for volunteers to give back to those that have served the country. The Greater Boston Food Bank’s mobile outreach unit and the Department of Veterans Services gave out thousands of pounds of fresh produce to hundreds of veterans at Bunker Hill Community College Monday morning.
