The following information was released as an advisory by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department and forwarded by Rossmoor Homeowner’s Association. On Tuesday, October 23 at approximately 9 p.m., a 28-year-old female resident of Rossmoor was savagely attacked at knifepoint. James Rivas was taken into custody around 7:45 p.m. Thursday by Orange County sheriff's detectives on the 12000 block of Davenport Road. ROSSMOOR (CNS) - An 18-year-old man suspected of stabbing a woman as she jogged in Rossmoor this week, inflicting several wounds, was behind bars today on suspicion of attempted murder. James Rivas was arrested about 8 p.m. Thursday as he was leaving his home, said Gail Krause of the Orange County Sheriff's Department. He was being held on $500,000 bail, she said.
