Much of eastern Massachusetts is under a National Weather Service heat advisory from 1 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, with temperatures expected in the mid-90s. “There’s a very warm air mass in place and we’re expecting temps for many parts of the area to reach into the mid- and upper-90s,” Matthew Doody, a NWS meteorologist in Taunton, told our Newscast unit early Tuesday. Hotel occupancy in Sacramento rose incrementally by 0.2 percent, according to the latest industry trend report. Occupancy was 68.9 percent in May, compared to 68.7 percent in the year-earlier period.
