"Flawed" research that wasn't even Harvard undergraduate, let alone Harvard Law, caliber. AP View Enlarged ImagePreferences: Democratic candidate Elizabeth Warren insists she's a pre-eminent scholar who didn't need minority status to join Harvard's faculty. But critics have long questioned her research. The blond, blue-eyed Bostonian has been caught up in a bizarre racial-quotas scandal as she battles to take back Ted Kennedy's old Senate seat. Jenna Marbles, ‘What Hip Hop Taught Me’: YouTube Star Shares Rap Wisdom

YouTube Let the haters hate and run their mouths about how hip-hop is materialistic and misogynistic -- Jenna Marbles isn't hearing it. The YouTube personality has learned a lot from rap music, and in her expletive-packed new video, "What Hip Hop Taught Me," the blonde Bostonian detonates a "fucking knowledge explosion," sharing the wisdom she's gleaned from the genre. Dunkin’ Donuts distribution center is planned for Phoenix

A distribution and purchasing cooperative of Dunkin’ Donuts franchisees said it has signed a lease for a distribution center in Phoenix, which will be the cooperative’s first warehouse located west of the Mississippi River. Following its acquisition in 2006 by a group of private equity firms that included Bain Capital LLC and Thomas H. Lee Partners LP, the parent of Dunkin’ Donuts embarked on ambitious expansion plans. While Dunkin’ cafes are seemingly ubiquitous in Greater Boston, they can be thin on the ground in other parts of the country, particularly out Continue reading >>>

Gas burn-off to light up Everett power plant

Flames and explosions will hit an Everett power plant today — and that’s no cause for concern, fire officials say. National Grid is scheduled to inspect a natural gas line at the Constellation Energy Mystic power plant on Rover Street, where officials will flush out and burn off residual gas, causing “visible flame and a loud blowing noise” for up to 8 hours, Everett Fire Chief David Butler said in a release. Expected to start at 6 a.m., the process poses no danger to the community, and residents in and around Chelsea shouldn’t be concerned, Butler said. “Because the flame could Continue reading >>>

MHK Should Stay

If you’re like me, you loved how the Patriots wore the MHK patches on their uniforms last season to honor Myra Hiatt Kraft, the wife of owner Robert Kraft, after her passing away. She was such a huge part of not only the team, but the community around her. She chaired the boards of Combined Jewish Philanthropies of Greater Boston and the Boys Girls Clubs of Boston so she could serve others that were less fortunate, which was her passion. She was so deeply dedicated to the service of others, that her biggest concern when her husband Robert purchased the Patriots Continue reading >>>

This offer is subject to…

Most seller’s contingencies are set up so that the buyers are bound to the deal and the seller can cancel if needed. If a buyer accepts contingencies without a specified completion date, he could be left waiting for months for one of those events to happen with the possibility that the sale would never close if the seller could not find “suitable housing” or the seller’s lender did not approve a short sale. If that happened, the buyer would get the deposit money back and would most likely be out the cost of the inspection, appraisal and legal fees for the Purchase and Sale agreement, often Continue reading >>>

Uncertain Natural-Gas Supplies Affect New England Grid Outlook

New England's electric power supplies are expected to be adequate to meet regional demand this summer under normal weather and system conditions, according to ISO New England Inc.However, reduced and uncertain supplies of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to power generation in the Northeast Massachusetts/Greater Boston area during the summer could create local reliability challenges to that portion of the power grid if extreme summer weather conditions - leading to high consumer demand - occur or if unexpected resource outages occur, ISO New England explains. "To address the concerns about potential Continue reading >>>
